I specialize in writing resumes and tailoring job searches. An investment in your resume is an investment in your career. I’ll show you how to identify transferable skills you don’t know exist yet, then teach you how to convey them in your resume to land the job you think is “a pipe dream.” It’s that simple.

What I don’t do: outsource your future.

They won’t tell you this, but a lot of resume writers moonlight as sales agents who use their industry experience to spark your interest, then pass off your resume to a ghostwriter they’ve hired on the cheap. I know, I know, it’s baloney. They may truly believe in what they’re selling, but your resume is mass-produced.

Are we a match?

We should work together if:

  • You are an expert in a lot of things, but have no idea how to say it properly.

  • You’ve been burned by other, more expensive “resume writers” in the past.

  • You are contemplating a career pivot, or trying to elevate to a new level, and you’re not sure how to make your experience work in your favor.

  • You are not getting results with the resume and/or cover letters you’ve been using — think: automatic rejections emails from a “no-reply” inbox.

  • You are using a resume that is old, bad and/or includes clichés like “Responsible for …” and “Detail oriented.”

  • Looking for a recruiter. My experience as a resume writer has earned me a few insider secrets, but I’m not your hiring manager or your recruiter. I can’t conduct your job search for you.

  • Lukewarm about making a move. My best work comes from clients who are motivated to change their situation NOW. Yes, it’s smart to be proactive about your resume, but if you don’t have the time to commit to working on your portfolio now, let’s regroup when you are.

  • Hesitant to discuss your work history and your future goals. The more details I know of your background, the better your resume will be. Be prepared to dive deep during our call. It helps. Also, I’ll help you identify a job search strategy, but you need to tell me what interests you first. Think: marketing, account management, supply chain consultant, etc.

The LaunchPoint Resume Process

NOTE: Complete Resume Overhauls and Total Portfolio Makeovers typically take 7-10 days to complete the process from start to finish, but the exact timeline will depend on how thorough and/or responsive clients are with the LPR Signature Documents. If starting from scratch, resumes usually take 10 days. This is to ensure we do things right the first time around and that you receive documents that make an impression.

  1. New clients will browse services available on the "RESUMES" tab.

  2. Interested clients can opt to contact us to ask questions about services first or purchase the service to get started right away.

  3. Clients will receive a response within 48 hours of submission, asking you for a copy of your current docs (if available).

  4. Once your payment is processed, the Certified Professional Resume Writer (Lauren) will analyze your documents, career history, and goals to determine the most effective strategies for your presentation and content.

  5. At the same time, we will either schedule a phone consultation to chat about said “things” listed above.

  6. Depending on the service, you may be asked to complete signature LPR documents Lauren needs to overhaul your resume.

  7. Upon delivery of your signature LPR documents, Lauren will spend the next two to three business days creating effective resume and cover letter content specific to your unique qualifications.

  8. You will receive your first drafts by email.

  9. You will have the opportunity provide feedback to the writer and request any changes to the formatting and content with revisions sent by email (within a reasonable time frame).

  10. Lauren will work with you to perfect your professional portfolio in honor of our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

  11. Lauren will remain available via email or by appointment for questions, minor portfolio edits, and general recommendations as you navigate the job search.
